Taylor Swift’s “The Eras Tour” has met expectations and officially become the highest-grossing concert tour in history. According to Guinness World Records, the singer’s series of shows became the first to exceed US$1 billion in revenue.

The tour, which began in March 2023 and is scheduled to end in December 2024, with a total of 151 shows worldwide, has already grossed US$1.04 billion (about R$5.16 billion).

The tour grossed US$939 million (about R$4.6 billion) over 328 shows.

Guinness World Records also highlighted that Taylor’s tour is so popular that it generated more revenue than the joint tours of Beyoncé and Bruce Springsteen in 2023. The two artists completed the three most profitable tours of the year.

Beyoncé’s 56 shows on her Renaissance World Tour in 2023 broke Madonna’s 14-year-old record as the highest-grossing concert tour by a female artist. This was before Taylor Swift took the position.

Beyoncé earned US$579 million (about R$2.8 billion) between May and October.

The Tour of the Ages includes 45 songs, in 3 and a half hours of show, divided into stages, or rather, eras of the singer.

The “Lover” album, from 2019, begins with six songs, including “Cruel Summer,” one of the show’s most prominent songs.

It then enters the phase of “Fearless” from the 2008 album which was re-released in 2021. It continues with “Evermore” from 2020, “Reputation” from 2017, and “Speak now” from 2010 which had a reprise. The recording was released this year.

Taylor continues with “Folklore” from 2020, and “1989” from 2014 which has just been re-released. The singer pauses her era for an acoustic showcase with two surprise songs that change from show to show.

From there, she moves on to her new album, “Midnight.”

Although the show is divided into scheduled acts, Taylor also takes the opportunity to make each performance unique – whether by changing songs, changing lyrics, announcements or special appearances.
