The Secretary of State for the Environment and Sustainability (SEMAS), Mauro Ode Almeida, moderated a panel discussion entitled “Development of the Amazon: Political Vision and National Interests”, at the International Conference on the Amazon and New Economies, this year. Friday (1st) at Hangar – Centro de Convenções e Feiras da Amazônia, in Belém.

Representatives of the legislative and executive branches discussed how the development of the Amazon region relates to topics of national importance and is involved in building a political vision for the future of Brazil and the planet.

Among the main topics to be discussed at the Climate Conference (COP 30), to be held in 2025, in Belém, are the advancement of technological innovations, popular participation in decisions regarding the Amazon, and the strong social aspect in strategic decisions about the Amazon region. province .
