    The memo, signed by Brian Molko and Stefan Olsdal, reads:

    “We would like to ask that you do not spend the concert filming or taking pictures with your cell phones. This makes the placebo performance more difficult. It is difficult to connect with you and effectively communicate the emotions in the songs.

    It’s also disrespectful to fellow viewers who want to watch the show, not the back of your phone. Please be here and now, for the moment, enjoy it. Because this exact moment will never happen again. Our goal is to create company and transcendence.”

    Previously, the band was already announce That would ban the use of phones in shows on the current tour. The idea was to store the devices in a space where the presentation would take place, and bring them back at the end. However, the situation seems to have adjusted accordingly.

    Placebo and “Never Let Me Go”

    Placebo’s eighth studio album, Never Let Me Go, was released this past March 25 via Rise Records. It was their first as a duo, after drummer Steve Forrest dropped out. The work reached the top ten on 13 charts, with an emphasis on number one in Germany, Austria, Belgium (Wallonia region) and the Netherlands.
