Nigel Farage Says UK Brexit Failed

Downing Street has already said there was no justification for Farage’s statements, but the former UKIP leader has left scathing criticism of the Conservative government for carrying out the process.

Speaking on TV where he is now a commentator, Nigel Farage said agriculture was one of the only bright spots to come out of Brexit and that the rest of the process from the UK leaving the EU in 2020 had been mismanaged by politicians. .

Despite continuing to argue that the UK has nothing to gain by staying in the EU, Farage believes the gains after leaving will be minimal. “I’m afraid what Brexit has demonstrated is that our politicians are as useless as the commissioners in Brussels,” he declared.

“This situation is completely wasted,” he continued, adding that last April’s rise in corporation tax had seen many businesses leave the UK and that this type of management was even tighter than what the EU had undertaken.

And he was blunt in his criticism: “Brexit has failed”.

Faced with the possibility of a return to politics, Nigel Farage has not ruled out the possibility, but says he has no immediate interest in the matter. “We didn’t solve the problem at the border, we didn’t implement Brexit, the Conservatives let us down”.

Confronted with these reports, Rishi Sunak’s cabinet strongly rejected Farage’s words. “I think the Prime Minister has talked about the benefits that Brexit has brought on a number of occasions,” explained a Downing Street spokesman.

“One of the examples of benefits in agriculture [pós-Brexit] Cloning crops is the application of technology that makes them more productive for farmers and the wider public,” the spokesperson said during a summit with UK food chain distributors.
