In July last year, the Court of Justice of São Paulo (TJ-SP) declared the bankruptcy of Agropecuaria Tuiuti S/A, a dairy company known as Shefa, which has a factory in Amparo (SP). It is worth noting that this news was confirmed by G1, a digital newspaper affiliated with Grupo Globo.
The ruling was published five years after the brand filed suit. At the time, he claimed to be in financial difficulties and had debts of R$222.5 million. According to Judge Fernando Leonardi Campanella, there was a violation of good faith and signs of fraud in the recovery process.
In addition to bankruptcy, the immediate removal of the officials was also scheduled. The company ended up undergoing a major transformation. This is because three months after the bankruptcy was declared, Agropecuaria Tuiuti S/A, the lessor of the Shefa dairy brand, appealed the judicial recovery process.
According to information from G1, the decision was taken by Minister Raúl Araújo, of the Supreme Court of Justice (STJ), who did not extinguish the bankruptcy, but suspended it until the appeal was decided. According to the company's management, the decision represents an appeal of the rights and guarantees of Agropecuária Tuiuti.
