On 3/24/2023 around 2:30pm my husband (Dag) felt unwell at work… very sick and then lost strength in the left side of his body. He was transferred to Ipiranga Hospital, as he did not have health insurance. And there he remained, unattended, in the corridor, sitting in a wheelchair, slumped, for he could not support his torso, and could hardly speak, and vomited all together and cried out with pain in his head. Despite the severity of the condition, he did not receive the urgent care the condition deserved. I didn’t think twice about getting him out of that place. Diagnosed: massive stroke requiring emergency brain decompression surgery. Remember, Dag is only 38 years old, he is the father of two 4-year-old boys (twins), a very active man, he went in for sports and did everything for the family. The surgery took about 8 hours and it was a success! Four days after the surgery, he was discharged from the hospital and is recovering at home, the left side of his body is still paralyzed, his speech is still weak and therefore he still needs follow-up and treatment. However, little by little and with a lot of faith in God, he will recover.

Like I said, unfortunately Dag didn’t have insurance and we had to foot a big bill.

The total amount for surgery and hospitalization is R$251.60572, not including rehabilitation costs.

We will be very happy to assist you.
