Lacoste, a brand known for its presence in sportswear, now has the French swordsman on its list of ambassadors Isora Tebus. She joins the team after three Olympians Ashley Johnson (water polo – USA), Ruth Mwandumba (Snapshot – UK) f Marcel Nguyen (Gymnastics – Germany), which entered in December 2022. The presence in the French fencing area reinforces the brand’s desire to strengthen historical ties with Olympic and Paralympic sports.

At the age of 31, Yosora was already a silver medalist at the Tokyo Olympics and world champion in 2022. Whether on or off the fencing field, the athlete, originally from Guadeloupe, is working to increase her presence and improve the image of women in sports. In 2021, she founded the digital platform EssentiElles Stories, which highlights the stories and careers of female athletes. World champions, Olympic champions, youth or amateurs, have the space to talk about their achievements and experiences on and off the field.

“I started my season with two world championship medals. The idea is to continue at this pace, now that the Olympic qualifiers are approaching. My goal is to win two gold medals at the Paris Olympics,” admits Yosora.

The crocodile and the athlete have a lot more in common than just a love of sports: Ysaora is a true fashionista. It reflects this in its French style, in keeping with a concept that Lacoste has been developing for 90 years. “I’ve always loved fashion. I remember when I was younger, my cousin and I would take my grandmother’s clothes to create looks and put on shows for our family. For my grandmother, who came from a very simple background, clothes were a way to show social mobility. For my mother, it represented freedom,” she recalls. . “For me, Lacoste represents the glamor of French sport, the desire to innovate and improve itself. The brand positions itself in the world in many ways: it is chic, streetwear, modern, timeless, sporty, feminine and masculine,” he adds.

In addition to sport and fashion, Lacoste Sport shares other values. Just like the brand creator, Rene LacosteYousra conveys the elegance she perceives in every aspect of her daily life and personality. Boldness and perseverance are the aspects that drive her to innovate at the frontiers of sport, two qualities she will show to the world alongside all other brand ambassadors.

“My clothes fit my lifestyle as an athlete: a busy life where I want to be sporty but also flexible and relaxed. I would say my style is very introspective and reflective of who I am. I am more than a fanboy. I am observant and curious about the world. I can say that my style allows me to express myself.” About these different sides of my personality: a thoughtful, ambitious woman who is not afraid to break the rules,” concludes Yosora.
