The Health Department in Brusk confirms four cases of Orobosch fever.

This disease is caused by the arbovirus and is transmitted mainly by mosquitoes, the most important of which are mosquitoes.

The confirmed cases are residents of the neighborhoods: Limeira, São Pedro, Dom Joaquim, and Batias. All the injured are fine and are following procedures.

The symptoms of Oropouche fever are very similar to those of dengue fever, such as body aches, headache, nausea, and diarrhea. There is still no specific treatment to treat the disease.

If symptoms appear, the patient must go to the basic health unit (UBS) to be able to undergo tests and identify the disease.

In Santa Catarina, with cases now registered in Bruschi, there are 10 confirmed cases of the disease, four in the municipality, five in the neighboring city of Butovera, and one more in Luiz Alves.

According to the State Ministry of Health, a series of complementary measures will be developed at the sites by municipal health departments in cooperation with the State and the Ministry of Health, such as organizing information on suspected and confirmed cases (movements, symptoms, clinical picture, etc.), collecting vectors for surveys. insect and sending samples from other patients for testing by the Central Public Health Laboratory in Santa Catarina, with the aim of strengthening disease surveillance.
