Fiat 500 UK concept turns into an electric ice cream parlour

Three boroughs of England’s capital London have already banned or banned traditional combustion vans selling ice cream on British streets. Additionally, 14 UK cities have already planned their restrictions until the end of next year.

Thinking of that, the Fiat created a special edition of 500e, the gelateria version. The idea is to build the world’s smallest electric ice cream parlor capable of serving 300 customers a day.

All of this was fitted to an electric 500 convertible, with the passenger and rear seats removed and the attendant able to serve ice cream from the back of the car.

The interior and bodywork are decorated in pale blue and cream colors reminiscent of traditional Italian ice cream parlors from the 1950s.

Two freezers in the back, powered by the car’s own battery, have a capacity of 30 liters of ice cream. Utensils such as cone cones, spoons and napkins can be sold over the counter.

The 500e Gelateria version has a small traditional song to call customers, activated by a button on the panel.

Fiat has also created a new flavor of ice cream based on the hot drink Picerin, the Italian city of Turin, the brand’s birthplace. The recipe calls for coffee, chocolate, and oat milk.
