    Economy | Over a thousand business meetings expected at Nersant Business 2022

    There are already 250 participants, from more than 60 countries, who will attend Nersant Business 2022, an international business meeting promoted by Nersant (the Santarém Region Business Association), which begins on Monday, February 21. Over a thousand business meetings have been planned between participating Portuguese companies and international buyers.

    This year, Nersant Business, a multi-sector event focused on food and beverage, materials and construction, home, furniture and decor, metalworking and ornamental stone, is being mixed in a mixed format, taking place online February 21-25 and face-to-face in March and June .

    As stated in a press release, this is “an activity carried out within the framework of the joint venture Negócios no Mundo, eligible companies will receive a subsidy of up to 50%, within the scope of COMPETE / PT2020”.

    The event is attended by importers from all over the world, with 60 markets already confirmed: South Africa, Germany, Angola, Algeria, Australia, Belgium, Brazil, Bulgaria,
    Cape Verde, Canada, Chile, Colombia, South Korea, Ivory Coast, Costa Rica, Croatia, Denmark, El Salvador, United Arab Emirates, Ecuador, Slovenia, Spain, United States, Estonia, Philippines, Finland, France, Ghana, Guatemala, Hungary, India, Ireland, Italy, Latvia, Lithuania, Macedonia, Malaysia, Morocco, Mexico, Norway, Netherlands, Paraguay, Peru, Poland, Qatar, United Kingdom, Czech Republic, Dominican Republic, Romania, Russia, Tome and Principe, Senegal, Serbia, Singapore, Sweden, Switzerland Tunisia, Ukraine, Venezuela and Vietnam.

    Since 2012, Nersant Business has “supported the internationalization processes of hundreds of companies since its first release”. And in 2021, the event offered more than 1,300 encounters (with 123 foreign importers from 57 international markets), so this year it is expected that this target will be exceeded.
