a Oscar Awards 2022 Running! The Hollywood Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences has revealed the winners of this year’s Best Picture award. The ceremony, which was held on Sunday night (27), was attended by a number of celebrities at the Dolby Theater in Los Angeles, USA.

Two years into the Covid-19 pandemic, with changes to movie premieres and a major focus on streaming services, The 94th Academy Awards were presented, for the first time, by women: Amy Schumer, Regina Hall and Wanda Sykes. The presenter trio even starred in one of the night’s biggest moments when they criticized the wage gap between men and women in Hollywood.

In a tongue-in-cheek speech, Amy commented on the organization’s choice to choose three women to head this year’s Academy Awards, rather than just one presenter. “This year, the Academy has hired three women to bid because it’s cheaper than hiring a man.”The comedian joked. This phrase is a reference to the structural machismo of Hollywood, which offers lower salaries to actresses than to actors.

Other highlights of the ceremony were, of course, the big winners of the night. Among the featured films was dog attack, a Netflix feature, which has been nominated in twelve categories. However, “Dune”a film starring Timothée Chalamet, Zendaya and Oscar Isaac, which has received ten nominations, and won six awards.
