Digital Foundry has released its technical analysis of Marvel Spider-Man 2With the ban lifted.

details

  • The level of detail has been greatly improved;
  • All game modes use ray tracing;
  • The intensity of the scene increased significantly, as the number of civilians and cars, for example, increased;
  • Details of the city are more diverse.
  • The game loads incredibly fast;
  • The game takes advantage of the hardware to create scenarios that were not viable in the original game;
  • The game takes advantage of the hardware for much faster movement;
  • Cars now have proper suspension;
  • All water bodies now have ray-traced reflections, which is a huge improvement over the first remaster;
  • Raytracing technology is improved, “nothing else comes close”;

Without VRR:

  • Performance (1440p ~ 1008p) at 60fps
  • Auto mode 120Hz at 40fps

With VRR and 120Hz display:

  • Smooth or unlimited options to unlock frame rate
  • The smooth option maintains the maximum fps and takes care of any frame rate drops
  • Quality > 40 fps
  • Performance at > 60 fps (up to 80 fps achieved)
  • In Unlimited mode, the dynamic resolution may decrease (936p observed).

Marvel Spider-Man 2 It will be released on October 20 on PS5.
