CCJ approves draft requiring SUS to distribute concealed disability tape

The Constitution, Justice and Citizenship Committee of the Chamber of Deputies has approved a bill requiring the SUS (Unified Health System) to distribute free ribbons with sunflower designs to identify people with hidden disabilities.

Rapporteur, MP Alex Manenti (Cidadania-SP), presented its opinion on the constitutionality of the constitutional law (draft law) 2,621 of 23from MP Captain Alberto Neto (Bel-Am). He only made a technical modification to the text.

“Well-implemented policies promote inclusion, removing physical and social barriers that prevent good coexistence or access to necessary care. This is one aspect of the constitutional principle of human dignity.Manenti said.

Hidden disabilities are those that may not be noticed right away, such as autism spectrum disorder, deafness, etc.

The sunflower ribbon is already used in many countries around the world as a symbol of recognition for these cases.

The proposal is amended. Basic Law for Persons with Disabilities.

The project has been thoroughly analyzed and may go to the Senate, unless there is an appeal to vote on it in the plenary session of the Council.
