Sputnik – More than 11,000 people have signed a petition published on the British Parliament’s official website, calling for a referendum to end the supply of arms to the Kiev regime.
The petition at least aims to get the British government to change its policy, including sanctions against Russia, mainly due to rising energy prices that are driving up prices in the country.
In addition, the petition aims to end the arms supply, and the country to adopt its peaceful neutrality towards the conflict.
British signatories to the petition accuse the country’s authorities of intervening on one side of the conflict in Ukraine, ignoring the views of citizens affected by the economic consequences.
“These include rising energy prices, cost of living, interest rates, inflation, unemployment, higher taxes and fees, strikes, business damage and cutbacks in government services,” the petition described.
Proceed after suggestions
If the petition reaches 100,000 signatures, the initiative can be debated in parliament, however, at the moment, it has only 11,400 signatures.
