Ronnie Vaughn celebrated the opportunity to make his debut with another program format on RedeTV!, where he currently works. The presenter, who turned 80 last Wednesday (17 years), ended the morning show he had been hosting at the station so that he could launch a nightly and weekly product, as he always loved to do. “I can no longer stand waking up at 5 in the morning,” he joked.

In an interview with the Folha de S.Paulo's F5 portal, the veteran player said he was not satisfied with the schedule set by São Paulo TV. “I think the morning crowd is not my audience. I am a sommelier and a waiter. Imagine you can't talk about wine?”, he complained. With the new attraction, the caller promised to “let humanity appear in people and provide information and entertainment”.

“You’ll see everything from great music heroes, who are my personal friends, to those who have tremendous talent and don’t get the chance to be seen. On my other show, I brought about ten street bands that I saw playing on Avenida Paulista,” said Ronnie Vaughn, who has a 50-year career on television.

For the artist, television has served as a source of education and culture. “Today, television is the biggest school in our country. We are a poor, uneducated, uneducated country. I think I have an obligation to provide at least information and culture. And of course entertainment. It is television: there must be laughter and tears.”

It is worth noting that Ronnie Vaughn had previously worked in major radio stations in the past, such as Excelsior and TV Tupi, but he also joined giants such as Record and Globo, where he worked in soap operas. He made small appearances in plots such as O Amor é Nosso (1981) and A Gata Comeu (1985).
