Gail Lewis captured the moment she finished her workday for the last time at the store where she worked in Illinois. Although the farewell was short and was broadcast over the venue’s sound system, she was emotional when she got to the car and recalled the moments she had at work.

The employee described the farewell as “the end of an era,” and stated that she felt happy and sad at the same time. “I’m going to a better job and these people became my family.
