Actor Alfred Enoch and his wife were robbed on their way to an award ceremony in Rio | Rio de Janeiro

RIO – Actor Alfred Enoch and his wife, Mona Godfrey, were robbed on Tuesday night (23), upon their arrival to the Grand Prix of Brazilian Cinema, in Cidade das Artes, Barra da Tijuca, in the western district of Rio.

Mona mentioned, on social media, that a man pulled his cell phone out of the car window when they were close to the event. She still says that she tried to run after the criminal but her husband stopped her.

When contacted, the military police stated that agents of the 31st BPM (Recreio dos Bandeirantes), the battalion opposite the area where the attack took place, had not been called.

In the post, the actor’s wife commented that she was only in Rio for one day and that she should be without her cell phone until she returns to the UK. “One day after I got back in town I managed to get mugged on my way to tonight’s event. Replacing my phone and resetting my number won’t be easy, probably not until I’m back in the UK in early September,” he says.

Mona reassured her family and friends in her post. “To my family and friends, I’m without a phone. I’m fine, I’m always shocked, I’m never happy, but I’m counting my blessings.”

Alfred Enoch was nominated for Best Actor for his role in Provisional Measure.
