A man goes to the hospital with a problem on the sole of his foot and has his leg amputated

A Thai man is suing a hospital after he was admitted to the health facility for a problem with the soles of his feet and the amputation of his left leg.

According to information from the Daily Star newspaper, the man, whose identity has not been revealed, says that hospital health workers amputated his leg without permission.

He claims he signed a form allowing the wounds to be “repaired” for surgery, but did not know it would result in his leg being cut off. The patient accuses the doctors of not setting the condition for amputation until after surgical intervention.

The Thai lost the first case against the hospital, but appealed to the Thai Bar Council to file his case. The man claims that the doctor who treated him was “negligent” and that the amputation caused “massive damage” to his life.

Now, attorneys Pricha Senpanich and Naron Asa, who are representing the patient, will ask specialists to investigate whether or not there was in fact a medical error in order to pursue the case.

The lawyers did not specify the amount of “compensation” the Thais are seeking in court. The hospital did not comment on this claim.
