With the election underway in England, Labor has emerged as the party of choice. In an interview with Jornal da CBN, Kai Enno Lehmann, associate professor at the Institute of International Relations at the University of São Paulo (USP) and physician at the University of Liverpool, examined the importance and impact of these elections.

According to Lehmann, the Conservative Party faces a deep crisis after 14 years in power, with the economy, public services and Brexit at risk.

The Conservative Party is in dire straits, and the question that remains is whether defeat will be bad, very bad or catastrophic.

He highlights that Labour, though favourite, will inherit a troubled UK. Lemmon highlighted that the party did not propose radical changes, particularly in relation to the economic model and Brexit.

'Given the depth and complexity of the problems in the country, this could soon lead to a political turn.'

Elections continue throughout the United Kingdom this Thursday.
