For those who have not watched it, I advise them to watch the documentary series about it David Beckham in Netflix. Those who love sports will love reviewing the plays, titles and reminiscing about the controversial moments that defined football in the late 1990s and early 2000s, and those who are not necessarily fans will also be guaranteed entertainment and take away interesting lessons about overcoming human relationships and the importance of it. Supporting the family in the challenges we face in life.

The series has inspired me in so many ways and has confirmed my belief that MIBR, the esports organization I now lead, is evolving in the right direction.

Beckham was discovered by Alex Ferguson, the team’s coach Manchester United For 27 years, he is 13 years old. At seventeen years old, he played his first match for the main team. Yes, Manchester United believed and invested in the young talent born in Leytonstone, UK, and the team ended up with 12 titles, as well as visibility and thus increased revenues.

Despite all the controversy, in my opinion, Alex Ferguson has been a great leader for Beckham and his teammates. With a strict coaching culture and no differences, the coach made Manchester United a family at that time and prepared his players for life. It was this spirit that saw the team stick together and overcome adversity, such as the entire English crowd booing their main player, Beckham himself, for a year.

On the other hand, Beckham’s family, including his parents and wife, played an essential role in his success and victory. His family was always there, bringing him “the peace and strength he needed in the most difficult times,” as he put it.

Anyone who sees the story told in newspapers and magazines only sees the charm of someone who was a celebrity on and off the field. But the sacrifices, challenges and resilience to achieve this success are barely seen or mentioned. It is huge for the athlete and the whole family. The series shows this in a light and eye-catching way. It’s worth watching.

Our athletes live, work and dedicate themselves and give us plenty of reasons to celebrate.
