The West Indies had not won a Test in England for 17 years and surrendered under overcast skies that favored the bowling conditions.
They have lost 19 wickets in a single day in Test cricket.
West Indies leveled the three-match series with a five-wicket win at Headingley.
But Ben Stokes took six in the first innings and James Anderson seven in the second as West Indies’ batting frailty was again exposed as England were bowled out for 123 and 177 as England won the final at Lord’s by nine wickets.
