The Russian consortium reported, on its Telegram channel, that during the first ten months of the year, 91.2 billion cubic meters of gas were exported, which is 67.6 billion cubic meters less than in the same period of the previous year.

And “Gazprom” confirmed that the supplies are carried out “according to confirmed orders.”

The Russian company considered that reducing gas consumption in the European Union is a “key factor” in reducing global demand.

“During the first ten months of the year, according to the first available calculations and operational data, global demand decreased by more than 40,000 million cubic meters. 85% of this reduction, about 36,000 million cubic meters, corresponds to 27 countries of the European Union, “explained .

According to the Russian company, gas consumption in the UK decreased by about 4 billion cubic meters.

“In this way, 95% of the decline in global demand corresponds to the countries of the European Union and the United Kingdom,” the company explained.

According to Gas Infrastructure Europe (GIE), gas reserves in underground storage facilities in Europe were replenished by 68.6 billion cubic meters as of October 30, but Gazprom says it cannot guarantee Europe’s safe passage through autumn and winter.
