FA yellow storm weather warning has been issued by the National Weather Service, Met Office, warning of heavy rain, thunderstorms, hail and lightning in the UK.
The south west of England is expected to feel the worst of the weather, although the warning will remain in place for the whole region until 10pm this Friday.
According to the Met Office, there is a “slight chance” of power outages at homes and businesses, where flooding is possible. Thunderstorms are also expected to cause delays and cancellations in public transportation.
Due to the potential for flooding and difficult driving conditions, some roads may be closed. express.co.uk.
It’s the Met Office’s second warning for storms this week after the UK experienced extreme heat that saw temperatures hit 40ºC, breaking all record highs.
