The competition truck Combines E-Transit steel frame and lightweight composite body panels. The battery pack, assembled to optimize weight distribution and keep the center of gravity low, can be recharged in about 45 minutes using a standard fast charger.

As in the E-Transit, the driver has several cameras to assist with maneuvers. Additional cameras were also installed so that the audience could follow his impressive performance.

The interior of the Suburban’s cabin has FIA-standard cages and seats and a large multimedia screen from production Ford vehicles such as the Mustang Mach E. The electronics package includes traction and launch control, a flight path speed limiter, and three-stage regenerative braking to recharge the battery — similar to that used in the E-Transit. At lower speeds, Eco mode improves engine efficiency, maximizes regenerative braking, and cuts traction to the rear axle. The E-Boost boosts instant power and torque for maximum speed.

Another exciting new feature is the Tire Clean Mode: it fully brakes one axle and unleashes traction on the other, creating an impressive front or rear burnout to clean and warm the tires before the races.
