    Due to limited epidemiological information, the organization acknowledges that it is “probably underestimated” because “other countries will identify the cases and, in the future, the virus may become more prevalent”.

    The worst affected countries are the United Kingdom (207), Spain (156), Portugal (138), Canada (58) and Germany (57).

    Outside Europe and North America, cases have been reported in Argentina, Australia, Morocco and the United Arab Emirates – only one per country.

    “While the risk to human health and the general public is currently low, the risk to public health will increase if the virus takes advantage of the opportunity to establish itself as a human pathogen in non-infected countries,” the WHO said. An update of its assessment of the disease.

    “Globally, the WHO estimates the risk is moderate because many cases and clusters of monkey flu have been reported simultaneously in local and non-local countries,” he said.

    According to the organization, no deaths have been reported locally from the United Nations universe, as opposed to locally: in Cameroon, Central African Republic, Congo-Braza, Democratic Republic of the Congo, Liberia, Nigeria, Sierra Leone, Gabon, C டிte d’Ivoire and Ghana. The disease is found only in animals. In the first seven of these countries, 66 deaths were reported in the first five months of 2022.

    The monkey, the virus that causes measles, is spread from person to person through close contact with wounds, body fluids, respiratory droplets, and contaminated materials.

    The incubation period is usually seven to 14 days, and the disease, popularly known as monkey box, lasts an average of two to four weeks.

    The disease is endemic in West and Central Africa and is more dangerous than smallpox.

    The Directorate of Health recommends that people with ulcerative ulcers, skin rashes, lymph nodes, fever, colds, headaches, muscle aches and fatigue seek medical advice.
