After detaining a group of seven teenagers on suspicion of involvement in the Lapsus $ group, London police are investigating allegations that two of the targeted teenagers committed multiple computer crimes. The 16- and 17-year-olds were re-arrested and produced in court this morning.

In a statement, London Police Indicates that Young people are accused of “unauthorized access to the computer with the intention of compromising data integrity”; “Fraud by misrepresentation” and “Unauthorized access to a computer with the intent of compromising data access”. A 16-year-old man has been charged with “ensuring unauthorized access to a program through a computer,” police said.

According to a recent investigation, it is suspected that the leader of the hacking group may be a 16-year-old British boy. Using the online aliases “White” and “Freebase”, investigators believe the suspect may have been the mastermind of some of the group’s biggest attacks, although he could not be linked to all the attacks by hackers.

It is worth noting that since the beginning of this year the Lapsus $ group hackers, including Portugal, have been carrying out a series of attacks similar to the Impressa group. In March, hackers attacked several technology companies, including Nvidia, Samsung, Ubisoft and Microsoft and Octa.
