The UK government on Thursday announced a series of new sanctions against 59 Russian and 6 Belarusian people and companies in connection with the invasion of Ukraine.

The affected companies include Russian diamond company Alrosa and private military service group Wagner.

Among those affected by the new sanctions are Tinkoff Bank founder Oleg Tinkov; Kurman Greif, CEO of Sberbank, Russia’s largest bank; And Polina Kovaleva, the alleged boyfriend of Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov.

Last week, the British government already expanded sanctions against Russia, now affecting 935 individuals and 70 companies. It accepted penalties against goods such as vodka and banned the export of luxury goods.

The United States has imposed sanctions on 328 delegates and 48 companies

The United States today announced new financial sanctions against Russian politicians, oligarchs and security agencies in retaliation for the invasion of Ukraine.

The move, which marks the freezing of assets in the United States, affects the Duma’s 328 members (lower house of parliament), as well as the agency, and a report describes the 48 “largest public companies” in the defense sector. Posted today by the White House.
