Macron told a news conference on France’s plans for the presidency of the European Union (EU) that London’s failure to deliver on its promises had caused tensions in relations with France in areas such as defense, migration and fisheries. The French president said the United Kingdom had pressed for an AUKUS security agreement with Australia and the United States, prompting the Australian government to rescind an agreement with France to buy submarines. This is the first time the French president has accused London of being an “emotional promoter” of the deal. Migration crisis, say labor policies in the UK are problematic.
