She added that “this is one of the most common viruses” and is “similar” to “measles or chickenpox.”

Today, the CDC is expected to release information to support its decision to modify recommendations made to people who have received the covid-19 vaccine, such as returning to wearing masks indoors.

The CDC document shows that the agency recognizes that it must adapt its messaging to the population, asserting that vaccination is the best defense “against such an infectious variant that acts almost as if it were a new and different virus,” and reports “Mail“.

The document also emphasizes that the variant is transmitted from person to person more quickly than Ebola, which is the common cold pain Seasonal, measles and contagious like chickenpox.

This week, there were an average of 71,000 new cases of covid-19 per day and data from health agencies suggests that vaccinated people are transmitting the virus, albeit apparently to a lesser degree than unvaccinated people.
