After imposing sanctions on Russian aviation, including banning flights to and from Russia, as well as not allowing planes belonging to Russian companies or citizens to fly, the US government went even further.

The Commerce Department has determined that any aircraft made in the United States or with more than 25% of components originating in the country must obtain a special license to operate in Russia, after obtaining permission. As a result, a portion of the American planes that were in the hands of the Russian companies ended up violating the decision by simply flying domestically.

As a result, the United States released a list of the aircraft in violation of the ruling, announcing that they would be seized at the earliest opportunity, and that anyone who helped operate these planes could face US sanctions.

The list of aircraft is long, and the absolute majority are commercial aircraft, but the leader among the oligarchs is Roman Abromovich, with his Gulfstream G650ER aircraft worth R$350 million in its latest version.

In addition to the G650ER Abramovich aircraft, there are 33 Aeroflot Boeing 737 and 777 aircraft; 12 AirBridgeCargo 747 Jumbos; nine Nordwind 737s and five 777s; one Azur Air 737, eight 757, 10767, and four 777 giants; Aviastar-TU has five Boeing 757s on the list; The Utair has eight 737s and four 767s in sight of the United States government.
