Unimed ends its campaign with more than 10.8 tons of food

From November to December, the food is replaced by dedicated cups; 28 entities from Catanduva and the region should benefit

On Saturday the 10th, Unimed Catanduva carried out, at the operator’s premises, the delivery of 10.8 tons of non-perishable food items collected in the “Solidarity Fans” promotion. The donations benefited 28 associations in Catanduva and cities in the region, such as Pindorama, Novo Horizonte and Santa Adélia.

The campaign began in early November, with the goal of exchanging 10,000 collectible World Cups, with five models available, representing every Brazilian national team title to date, in exchange for non-perishable food. In this way, 10 tons of items such as rice, beans, pasta, milk, oil and coffee will be collected. However, the number was exceeded and the target was reached ahead of schedule, in just 30 days.

The handover ceremony was attended by Unimed Catanduva’s Director of Development, Matheus Schuerewegen, and with voluntary assistance from Cidade Feitiço Scout Group. On this occasion, the director thanked everyone who participated and cooperated. “It was a campaign carried out during the months of November and December, where every person who brought 1 kg of food to Unimed de Catanduva would receive a personal trophy with every year that Brazil was World Cup champion. Come to Unimed and show solidarity, ”says Mateus, who adds that there Also collection points in Novo Horizonte and Santa Adelia.

Representatives of the beneficiary associations were also present and, according to Mathews, it would be possible to provide these entities with a warmer heart at Christmas. “It is something that exceeded our expectations a lot and makes us very happy,” concludes the Director of Development, who thanked those in charge of the institutions that received the donations collected during the campaign.
