Judge Arthur Engoron had prevented the Republican from pleading in court; The right has yet to be granted
The trial of former US President Donald Trump was characterized by debate after he attempted to present his arguments today, Thursday (January 11, 2024). He clashed with Judge Arthur Engoron after criticizing New York Attorney General Letitia James.
The Republican was denied the right to speak before the trial began because he did not sign restrictions aimed at preventing him from using the court as a political platform.
However, Engoron allowed Trump to make brief comments after his attorney spoke. The judge insisted that the Republican candidate for the White House respect the rules of the court.
