On Tuesday (5), for the second time, the United States launched humanitarian aid from its aircraft to the northern Gaza Strip, on this occasion, parcels containing more than 36,800 batches of food supplies, according to the US Army Central Command (CENTCOM). ).

The statement said that the latest launch was carried out in coordination with the Jordanian Armed Forces with the aim of “providing basic assistance to civilians affected by the ongoing conflict.”

The joint operation included US Air Force C-130 aircraft and US Army soldiers specializing in the air delivery of humanitarian aid supplies.

The memo confirmed that US C-130 aircraft dropped “more than 36,800 batches of American and Jordanian food supplies into northern Gaza, an area in dire need, allowing civilians to access vital aid.”

US Central Command said, “These airdrops are part of efforts to deliver more aid to Gaza, including expanding the flow of aid through land corridors.”

Three days ago, the United States carried out its first airdrop, distributing nearly 38,000 batches of food. For its part, the Jordanian army indicated in a statement that the aid delivered today contains materials provided by the World Food Programme.

Since the start of the Israeli attack on Hamas following the October 7 attack, Jordan has carried out 28 airdrops of humanitarian aid, 15 of which were in cooperation with other countries such as Egypt, the United Arab Emirates, and France.
