Before the pandemic, flights from the US were departing from Fortaleza by LATAM and GOL, and from Recife by Azul, but all flights were suspended due to the coronavirus.

LATAM has now announced that it will resume the Fortaleza-Miami route on July 25 this year with one trip per week, making the capital of Ceará the fourth Brazilian city with international operations for the company, which has already resumed outbound flights from São Paulo/Guarulhos, Rio de Janeiro/Galeao and Porto Alegre. . Air tickets will be available next week at latam.com and other sales channels.

Fortaleza’s flight to Miami has not been operated since April 2020 and is another LAC increase in the focus city for its investments in northeastern Brazil. It also directly reflects the collaborative efforts between the company and the Ceará state government to make air transportation in the country viable. In the second half of 2021, it is worth noting that LATAM began operations in Jericoacoara and Juazeiro do Norte.

Latin America is still interested in growth in demand. In 2021, we have already launched two new tracks in the country, and now we are announcing the resumption of international operations. This was only possible thanks to the company’s sustainable payback planning linked to the state government’s competitive policies.”explain Alain Mafra, Director of Sales and Marketing at LATAM Brazil.

In the opposite direction, the flight will depart from Miami on Monday at 11:00 p.m. (local time) and land at the destination at 7:05 a.m. (local time) the next day.

In the opposite direction, the flight will depart from Miami on Wednesday at 11:00 p.m. (local time) and land at the destination at 7:05 a.m. (local time), the next day.
