With discussion of the new minimum wage introduced in the temporary measure signed by President Jair Bolsonaro (PL) and now being evaluated by Congress, it is now possible to view PIS/Pasep 2023. Private initiative workers and public servants can have values ​​between 109 and 1302 Brazilian real, which is the new national minimum.

It should be noted that although the MP nº 1,143/22, which raises the minimum wage to R$1,302, still needs to be estimated by Congress national, and passes through the Federal Chamber of Deputies and the Senate, in that order. The deputy can only be converted into ordinary law after evaluation, that is, the new value of the minimum wage can be confirmed.

If the amount is approved, it should be used as the basis for calculating various Social Security, assistance and employment benefits, including an allowance PIS/ pasib.

What are the PIS/Pasep 2023 allowance amounts?

If the new minimum wage is confirmed at R$1,302, the amounts for the PIS/Pasep 2023 allowance could vary between R$109 and R$1,302, based on 2021.

The amount to be received is commensurate with the length of service of the worker in the base year (2021). The number of months worked in the base year is multiplied in turn by 1/12 of the minimum wage in effect on the date of payment.
