Microsoft revealed its latest financial report and showed that it made a lot of money in the first three months of 2024, despite a 31% decline in Xbox hardware sales.

During this period, the company launched many games in the PlayStation 5, PS4, and Nintendo Switch versions, as part of a new strategy for its future, in which it will look at the benefits of launching Xbox Game Studios games on platforms that are so far considered competitive.

According to Satya Nadella, the new strategy has paid off more than necessary, and he even says that they were the best publisher on PlayStation during the current month of April, which was marked by the launch of games such as Grounded and Sea of Thieves, after Pentiment and Hi-Fi Rush at the end of March.

“We are expanding our games to new platforms by launching four of our favorite games on Nintendo Switch and Sony PlayStation for the first time,” Microsoft CEO Satya Nadella told investors.

“In fact, earlier this month, we had 7 games in the top 25 best-selling games on the PlayStation Store, more than any other publisher.”

Nadella highlights this achievement for Xbox and shows how the Xbox versions have managed to generate interest among PlayStation gamers, who can enjoy four of the most praised games by the Xbox community without purchasing a console or other equipment.
