Samsung mobile phones have a hidden option that allows you to delete files permanently

Samsung has launched the new version of One UI for more and more mobile phones, and as we know, the interface contains a series of features that users of the Korean giant's devices love. In addition to the more obvious features, the system also has some hidden tools, including a recently discovered tool in the My Files app.

According to reports from some users, version 15.0.04.5 of the My Files app introduces a secret menu called MyFiles Labs. You can find the Permanent Delete Option setting in this menu. By activating this tool, users get an additional option in the pop-up menu that appears when deleting files using the My Files app.

When you select this new option, the file will be permanently deleted from your phone and you won't need to go to the Recycle Bin to permanently delete it.

To activate MyFiles Lab, follow these steps:

  1. Open the My Files app on your Galaxy device;
  2. Go to Settings and click About my files;
  3. Click the My Files text box several times until a dialog box appears saying “MyFiles Lab is enabled”;
  4. When the feature is enabled, go back to the Settings tab, click on MyFiles Labs and enable the Permanent Delete option tool.

It should be noted that this feature is only available in version 15.0.04.5 of the My Files app. In Brazil, the official version available is still 15.0.03.25, which means it will take some time before we receive the update.
