The meteoric success of Norwegian striker Erling Haaland has caught the attention of Manchester City fans, especially those of his rival team. An online petition has been filed on the UK government’s website to have the 22-year-old striker removed from the Premier League for “being a bot”.

As of last Wednesday afternoon, the original document had already received more than 400,000 signatures, leaving the main British media to report on the case. Another alternative petition was created with the name: “Erling Haaland kicked out of England football because it is not fair” with the following description: “This is not fair. We can make a change. Now is the time for us people to act. This robot should not be allowed to continue in our country.” .

In the last round of the Champions League, Haaland scored two goals against Copenhagen, reaching 28 goals in the continental competition in only 22 games played. The Norwegian outperformed the experienced Uruguayan Luis Suarez, who played 73 matches to score 27 goals. Manchester City’s reinforcements also left behind Rivaldo, Mane and Giggs.

Soon, Haaland should leave other notable names in world football behind him in the Champions League, such as Eto’o, Rooney, Kaka and Griezmann, who scored 30 goals. The record holder is Cristiano Ronaldo, with 140 goals, followed closely by Lionel Messi, who scored 127.
