In November of this year, Sony released financial results for its most recent fiscal quarter. During this period, PlayStation emerged as the division that generated the most revenue for the manufacturer, with much higher sales compared to its cinema and music divisions.

According to the latest report, the brand’s gaming division outsold movies and music by nearly 300% each. Moreover, the quarter ending November this year brought improvements compared to the previous period, as well as the cumulative result for 2022.

The document also notes that the music division remains ahead of PlayStation in terms of operating profit. However, according to Sony, games and related services are expected to generate much higher profits in the coming years.

PlayStation 5 sales should boost Sony’s ambitions

It is worth noting that the results reinforce the excellent period experienced by PlayStation. In recent months, Sony has invested in heavy marketing to promote the large quantities of consoles it has in stock. At the same time, it offers regular promotional prices and sale packages.

For the period ending March 2024, Sony plans to sell another 16.8 million PS5 devices. Forecasts estimate an annual target of 25 million consoles, which could be driven by Black Friday, December and January numbers.

If you plan to join the statistics and cooperate with the manufacturer’s goals, the PS5 has a historic promotion in the final stage. On Amazon Brazil, it is possible to buy the console for less than R$ 3,400. click here I guarantee you!
