Mary Jane’s cast is the same as in the first game

With the latest promo for Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 shared with fans last Thursday night (21), one facet of the game has caught the eye. Mary Jane appeared with a more mature and completely different look from the first game, however, Insomniac said they did not change the actress to produce the sequel.

The change of cast in the franchise wouldn’t be new. Peter Parker himself had a change of face when the Remastered version, the original for PS5, was released. Reaction was quite mixed from the community, but James Stephenson, the studio’s director of communities and marketing, confirmed that MJ didn’t have the same treatment:

It should be noted that Laura Bailey, the original voice of Mary Jane in Marvel’s Spider-Man 2, was present at the Marvel panel at Comic Con. MJ’s face model, by the looks of it, is still Stephanie Tyler Jones. Anyway, you can’t deny that they changed the character’s look for the sequel.
