    • Choose the Google account you want to backup your message history to;
    • If you are not logged into your Google account, simply click Add Account when prompted and enter your details to log in;
    • Then click Backup Over to select the network you want to use for backup.

    It should be noted that operators may incur additional charges if backed up via mobile data.

    How to get more security in backup

    One way to make your backup more secure is to save it end-to-end encrypted in your Google Drive. To do this, follow these steps:

    • Open or WhatsApp;
    • Follow this path: Click on More options – Settings – Conversations – Chat backup and finally End-to-end encrypted backup;
    • Then press Activate;
    • Next, you will need to create a backup password or use a 64-digit encryption key;
    • Finally, click Create to create an end-to-end encrypted backup.
