Langreo is on the brink of collapse

Suspicion clouds Langreo and causes concerns among regional leaders, suppliers, haulers, rural producers, employees, and general agents. In the midst of a recovery plan, conflicting information spread across the internet raises tension about the co-op’s future.

So much so that the Confederation of Rural Workers (STR) of Teutônia and Westfália, having the territorial coordination of the entity and the members, requests a meeting with the administration of Langreo. The request was sent on Tuesday morning.

The mayors who are part of the G7 consortium are also trying to meet with the president of Langheiro, Dersu Bayer and other directors. An agenda was previously scheduled for Wednesday, but it was cancelled.

According to the general managers, the intention is to help the cooperative. They even intended to meet with the Legislative Assembly’s Agriculture Committee. The issue of the cooperative’s financial situation gained a greater proportion with the leaking of Langero’s document addressed to the creditor banks.

In the article, you detail the losses in the poultry and pork sector in the past two years. Together, they total R$274 million. A consulting company contracted with Banrisul carried out a diagnosis of the cooperative’s financial condition, including a debt restructuring plan.
