Kelly Key Talking About Autoimmune Skin Disease

Model and singer Kelly Key recently spoke about a struggle she’s faced in her life: psoriasis, a skin problem that has caused her to suffer injuries to her body.

In a conversation with the newspaper O Globo, the artist spoke a little more about the autoimmune disease she had recently discovered in Portugal.

“During my first season in Portugal, the first skin lesions appeared, and they intensified after contracting Covid-19 in December last year,” he explained.

“I had all the tests done, including the biopsy. With the results in hand, we started treating psoriasis, an autoimmune disease. But without much success. A few months ago I went back to Brazil with my family and looked for my dermatologist for a cure.” But it didn’t give much results.”

Kelly Kay said she changed treatment when the situation escalated further. “My doctor came with an immunosuppressant. Lesions took over 50% of my skin, legs, back and elbows. The crisis was very serious. Medication saved me and today the lesions are cured,” he said.
