With the new iOS 17.2 update, it has become Wireless charging Through induction it became faster. The new update was released on December 11, launching the Qi2 charging feature for older Apple devices.

    This way, iPhone 13, iPhone 14 and iPhone 15 can charge at 15 watts, exceeding the 7.5 watts available before the update. In total, there are 12 devices with the new capability, including the “Plus”, “Pro”, “Pro Max” and “Mini” smartphone versions.

    Wireless charging is done via a MagSafe inductor, which connects to the cell phone via a magnet on the back. This technology was introduced by Apple in 2017, through the iPhone 8 and iPhone of the required size.

    Problems with iOS 17

    The new iOS 17 update came to solve some of the problems reported by users. Launched last September, Apple device owners have reported lags, overheating, and system errors. One major criticism was regarding the iOS keyboard, which was extremely slow and stuck.

    Another point reported by users is the slowness of the operating system. When power saving mode was activated on the device, the cell phone was automatically slower in opening applications, typing, and displaying conflicts when using the camera. According to information released by Apple, the new iOS 17.2 operating system aims to correct the reported errors.

    Finally, the new update also launches Qi2 charging for the following devices:

    • iPhone 13;
    • iPhone 13 mini;
    • iPhone 13 Pro;
    • iPhone 13 Pro Max;
    • iPhone 14;
    • iPhone 14 Plus;
    • iPhone 14 Pro;
    • iPhone 14 Pro Max;
    • iPhone 15;
    • iPhone 15 Plus;
    • iPhone 15 Pro;
    • iPhone 15 Pro Max.
