    “Uh oh.” ICQ audio, which was popular on Brazilian computers in the late 1990s and early 2000s, will be released for the last time in June 26As reported by VK, owner of the instant messaging service.

    “ICQ will stop working on June 26. You can use VK Messenger to talk to your friends and VK WorkSpace to talk to your coworkers,” Russia's VK said on its messaging site.

    Hey ICQ was one of the first computer instant messaging servicesIn addition to Microsoft MSN Messenger and AOL Instant Messenger.

    The software was created in 1996 by the Israeli company Mirabilis and sold to AOL in 1998.

    Chat until registered 100 million users Worldwide in 2001. Over time, the service lost its relevance and was replaced by more modern messengers, such as WhatsApp.

    In 2010, the program was sold to Digital Sky Technologies, which owns the VK service, a Russian version of Facebook. Currently, ICQ has versions for web, PC, Android and iOS mobile phones.
