    The American agency had offered money to researchers to change their version and claim that the disease originated in animals

    The US House of Representatives Coronavirus Pandemic Subcommittee published a report on Monday (September 12, 2023) saying that the US Central Intelligence Agency (CIA) offered money so that investigators would not reveal that the Covid-19 virus originated in a laboratory in Wuhan, China.     In the report, the anonymous witness – who would be a high-ranking CIA officer – states that the agency assigned 7 members to investigate the origin of the virus. Of these, 6 analysts concluded that the disease may have originated in a laboratory in Wuhan.

    The House of Representatives subcommittee is responsible for investigating the outbreak of the disease.

    But, according to the official, after the result, the intelligence agency offered money to the six investigators to change their version and suggest that the virus originated from animals.

    “The whistleblower, posing as a highly credible senior CIA officer, claims that of the seven people assigned to the CIA team tasked with analyzing the origins of Covid, six officials concluded that the virus likely originated in a laboratory in Wuhan, in China. However, the CIA reportedly offered financial incentives to six experts involved in the investigation to change their conclusion in favor of zoonotic origin.The subcommittee report said.
