    RIO DE JANEIRO (Reuters) – CPFL Energia, from the Chinese State Grid Group, bought the state electricity company Rio Grande do Sul CEEE Transmissão (CEEE-T), in a privatization auction on Friday, for 2.67 billion reais, a premium of 57, 13% compared to the expected minimum.

    The event, which was attended by other companies, such as power transmission company Isa Cteep, was scheduled for a working stage in which Energisa and MEZ Energia also participated.

    Governor Eduardo Leyte (PSDB) celebrated the privatization:

    The shares traded represented 66.08% of the total share capital of CEEE-T, owned by Companhia Estadual de Energia Elétrica Participações (CEEE-Par), and were auctioned in one lot, with a minimum value set at OMR1.7 billion.

    At the auction, Energisa offered 2.66 billion riyals, while MEZ Energia’s bid was 2.035 billion riyals.

    At the end of the dispute, which was held at the B3 São Paulo Stock Exchange, the president of the CPFL, Gustavo Estrella, celebrated the outcome and noted the investments.

    “This company’s plan here has no magic, there is no ambiguity, here is the efficiency so we can operate the assets and a lot of investment,” he said.

    CEEE-T is responsible for the operation and maintenance of more than 6,000 km of lines (5,900 km of its own) and more than 15,700 transmission structures (about 15,300 of its own) covering the entire state of Rio Grande do Sul 69 substations with a total capacity It is 10513 megavolt amperes.
