Who wouldn’t want to live a long time? Of course, for this there are many factors such as health, habits that contribute to this, a full life, and other details that make the difference.

However, did you know that you can also go down this path? Some people who have lived more than 100 years in the Blue Zones (Karia, Greece; Loma Linda, California; Sardinia, Italy; Okinawa, Japan; Nicoya, Costa Rica) have great habits that can extend their lives.

Want to know what? So, follow these four tips, watch your life change and have the best experience.

    1. Make totally healthy breakfasts

If you are the type to skip the first few meals of the day, stop right away. Nutrient-rich eating plans, such as a vegetarian diet or the Mediterranean diet, can help you live a long and healthy life.

An example is a 105-year-old woman who lives in Loma Linda, California, who says she eats a bowl of slow-cooked porridge every day.

    2. Be nice, say nice things

Dan Buettner, author and researcher of These Unusual Habits, shares that he does everything on the list to increase his life.

However, there are some details that come from himself that he feels better about: saying nice things to the first person he sees that day. Harvard University claims that behaviors are contagious and can change someone’s day as well as yours.

    3. Find out what motivates you each day

What makes your heart race every day? What motivates you to get up and do your routine? This can be a great plus for you who want to live longer.

The Japanese concept of Ikigai is based on finding something that motivates you to get up and go out every day. In general, residents of the Blue Zones do just that, adding more fun to their lives.

    4. Enjoy a cup of coffee every morning

Finally, you should enjoy the moment of breakfast next to your cup of steamy drink, as it can help you live longer. Blue Zones residents consume between two and three cups of coffee per day.

Additionally, a study by the American Heart Association reports that coffee consumption is associated with a lower risk of overall mortality.
