WhatsApp, the most used social network in Brazil, receives a new function that allows the user to save temporary messages within the conversation. Depending on the application, this type of message is an optional feature that can be activated for more privacy and now, the functionality will be upgraded.

The new was announced in the official Messenger blog, last Friday, 21, and through it people will be able to save information that they consider important contained in a conversation with messages that disappear after 24 hours, 7 days, or 90 days.
How does the new WhatsApp feature work?
Meta states that when using temporary messages on WhatsApp, it is possible to save information in the conversation to prevent it from disappearing. The text remains visible to all participants and does not disappear, even after the period specified for temporary messages.
With the novelty, all data saved in the folder will appear Messages saved in the conversation in the application settings. It is worth noting that when someone saves a sent message, a notification will be automatically displayed to the person who sent it, in addition to that person controlling who can or cannot use the function, or even cancel this option.
All this control is considered by the application itself as a “superpower” for the user, because it gives the ultimate decision-making power over what is to be done with the submitted content.
As mentioned, the saved messages will easily appear in the Favorites section, which was expected by users who were already waiting for the functionality available until recently only for the beta version of the application.
The upgrade is being rolled out gradually and should reach all users in the coming weeks. Also, it can be used in both individual and group chats. To save the content, just click on the icon that will be indicated on the cell phone. Now, to cancel the option, just search for the function, click Cancel Save to Conversation and then OK.
