China opens a theme park at a cost of R $ 5 billion

The main tank in the aquarium will be the largest in the world, holding 47 million liters of water, and the waves will reach 3.2 meters in height.

China opened the world’s largest indoor amusement park last week after 5 years of construction. The Chimelong spaceship was set up at the Zhuhai Chimelong Resort in the southern city of Zhuhai. The total investment amounted to approximately R$5 billion.

The shape is reminiscent of a spaceship and impresses with its futuristic design and size. Its area is 396,861 square meters. The water park was designed by Heritage entertainmenta company based in Los Angeles.

The basin’s main tank will be the largest in the world, holding 47 million liters of water, and will house killer whales. It can create waves up to 3.2 meters high.

The killer whales will be part of Baleia Universe, one of 15 themed areas in the park. Another themed area is Coral Secret, which will feature the world’s largest live coral exhibit, in 10 tanks.

The park said that more than 150,000 marine animals from more than 400 species will be displayed in the Chimelong spaceship.

The owners expect about 50,000 people to visit the park daily.

The Chimelong spaceship was opened to the public for the first time on September 16 for testing. Some areas of the park are still being completed. A 1,250-room, 26-storey hotel is also being built in the area and is nearing completion.
